Who’s Hiro?

Hello, there! I am a TechOps Support Engineer located in New York City, with a Master’s of Education in Special Education. My current endeavor is learning Python.

I am passionate about photography, disability advocacy (especially in the fields of brain injury, vascular malformation, and community (re)habilitation), and an avid reader. In 2012, I founded Burgundy for Life, a rare-disease advocacy and awareness project, and still actively maintain its Facebook Page and online support groups. I am also a member of the New York Road Runners.

I also worked for 2.5 years as a Bilingual Academic Tutor for Elementary and Middle School students in NYC, with special concentration in ESL, Gifted and Talented, and Special Needs.
